All season long, 90 Day Fiance fans have compared Rishi Singh and Jen Boecher to Sumit Singh and Jenny Slatten. And recently, Rishi finally lashed out. And from the looks of it, he has had enough. So what did he have to say?
TLC Essentially Recast Sumit Singh & Jenny Slatten
Many fans couldn’t help but chuckle when Jenny Slatten confirmed to her followers that she and Sumit would not be in the new season of The Other Way. And, that’s because the network essentially cast their replacement.
90 Day Fiance fans have said all season that Jen Boecher and Rishi Singh are essentially Sumit Singh and Jenny Slatten lite. Indeed, in addition to having an age gap, there’s a lot of deja vu in Rishi and Jen’s storyline when it comes to dealing with Rishi’s family and more – leaving many viewers feeling like they’ve seen it before.
90 Day Fiance: Rishi Singh Claps Back at Ignorant Fans
So far, Rishi Singh has been rather cordial when it comes to managing his social media and interacting with 90 Day Fiance fans. But recently, the man from India finally had enough – and he let his followers have it.
More specifically, Rishi Singh slammed 90 Day Fiance fans that think he and Jen Boecher are a carbon copy of Sumit and Jenny. According to Rishi, viewers need to stop with the notion that they should have “learned” from Jenny and Sumit.
Indeed, Rishi added that viewers should not be lumping “ALL Indians” and “ALL Americans” into the same category. Further, he said that to assume Sumit represents all Indian men or that Jenny represents all American women is “ridiculous” and “small-minded”.
Making sure to cover his bases, Rishi went on to say that Jenny and Sumit are “wonderful people”. But, he made sure to reiterate the distinction between them, saying that Sumit and Jenny “ARE NOT US”.
90 Day Fiance: Jen Boecher Throws Rishi’s Family Under the Bus
Despite coming to Jen Boecher’s aid and defending her against critics, Jen wasn’t shy recently about throwing Rishi’s family under the bus following TLC airing her meeting his relatives.
According to Jen, she told her 90 Day Fiance fans that Rishi’s family would not allow him to marry a “dark-skinned girl”. And, that she would have to be “educated” and not “short”. In addition, Jen even brought attention to Rishi’s brother, whom she says is “intellectually impaired”. And because of this, in Jen’s words, Rishi’s family thinks his brother is “useless”.
Interestingly, Jen spilling this family tea came shortly after Rishi came to Jen’s defense. And, many 90 Day Fiance fans are curious about what the repercussions could be – especially since keeping up appearances is a big deal in India. And, if it ever came down to Rishi having to choose between her and his family, her recent rant didn’t exactly help her cause.
