As 1000-lb Sisters fans following in real-time know, Tammy Slaton was recently married to Caleb Willingham, a man she met in the weight loss rehab facility she was in. At the time, the marriage news came as a shock to the vast majority of viewers.
And as fans see in 1000-lb Sisters scenes, the marriage news is just as much of a shock to Tammy’s relatives as it was to fans, if not more. Meanwhile, with so much going on behind the scenes, Season 4 offers watchers a glimpse into the events leading up to the wedding and more – which was one of the selling points for the brand new season.
TLC Celeb Calls in a Favor – Will Her Sister Answer?
Spoilers reveal that after blindsiding her family with the marriage bomb, Tammy calls on Amy to be in charge of planning the event. But, everyone is still trying to absorb this new reality of a married Tammy. And, soon after she drops the marriage bomb, she adds that the wedding will be in two weeks. So, it’s crunch time right out of the gate.
On top of that, Amy Slaton-Halterman has a lot going on between taking care of her two kids and more. So, it’s a tall order, no matter how you slice it. Still, spoiler clips reveal that Amy steps up for her sister when it counts, even with the less-than-ideal window of time to get everything done.
1000-lb Sisters Celeb Marries New Husband – Fans Have Mixed Feelings
Interestingly, Amy Slaton-Halterman says in 1000-lb Sisters teaser clips that if she meets Caleb and finds red flags, there wouldn’t be a wedding. And, the fact that Tammy and Caleb tied the knot surely means that he passed the test.
Still, it’s a mixed bag among fans. On the one hand, 1000-lb Sisters fans are happy for Tammy. Because, going to rehab and meeting her future husband seems to be the thing that finally meant enough to get her in gear to lose weight – something she struggled to do for years.
On the other hand, many 1000-lb Sisters fans think Tammy Slaton moved too fast. And even though Tammy found Caleb’s stalker vibes endearing, some see it as the exact opposite. When Caleb revealed that he came to that particular rehab facility because he knew Tammy was there, many saw that as a red flag. And, even Tammy’s family thought he might be a serial killer to boot.
Ultimately, whether or not this relationship lasts is something that remains to be seen. But, if nothing else, it makes for a good TLC storyline.
