1000-lb Sisters celeb Tammy Slaton found love with Caleb Willingham, and the pair recently tied the knot in a small ceremony. But, legally speaking, the couple may not be as married as they’d like to think. So what’s the latest?
1000-lb Sisters: Tammy Slaton Finally Found Love in the Most Unlikely Place
When most 1000-lb Sisters fans think of a weight-loss facility in Ohio, that doesn’t exactly come across as a breeding ground for love. But, in Tammy Slaton’s case, that’s where she met her new flame, Caleb Willingham.
Even though it took a near-death experience for Tammy Slaton to finally wake up and get serious about changing her life for the better, much of the added motivation also came from the new love she found with Caleb.
But, despite tying the knot back in November 2022, from a legal standpoint, the couple may not be as married as they think they are.

Legalese Making TLC Marriage Null?
It turns out, Tammy Slaton and Caleb Willingham didn’t file for a marriage license in the state of Ohio prior to their wedding ceremony. And, while on the surface, that may not seem like a big deal, legally speaking, it’s quite significant.
According to Ohio law, the 1000-lb Sisters couple should have applied for and gotten a marriage license before their wedding ceremony. Two days after the ceremony, Tammy paid for and filed the couple’s marriage application. But, by all accounts, they did things backwards.

1000-lb Sisters Marriage All for TLC Storyline?
Meanwhile, if their marriage is not legally recognized based on the order in which they decided to do things, this is likely to drum up even more chatter among 1000-lb Sisters fans that the pair married for the sake of a TLC storyline rather than any genuine feelings.
Thickening the plot even more, even though a judge eventually approved their marriage application, at the time, there was no legal record documenting that a marriage took place – with no date or location on file. Certainly, that is something that could have been amended in the months since the ceremony. But, if nothing else, this is indeed food for thought.
As 1000-lb Sisters fans saw in recent scenes, Caleb asked Tammy to marry him. And, while their love is something good to see, and something that Tammy has certainly used as motivation to turn over a new leaf regarding her weight loss, whether or not their relationship stands the test of time is certainly something to watch – particularly with Amy Slaton-Halterman and Michael Halterman calling it quits after years and two children together.
