Alternative Country and Rock artist Seneko recently dropped his latest offering – a five-track EP called The Girls from Cedarhurst. So how does this latest release stack up?
Seneko Releases The Girls from Cedarhurst
The Girls from Cedarhurst is the latest five-track offering from Stan “Seneko” Olsheski. And, the self-titled track opens the EP in a big way with driving, distorted guitars and effects-laded licks.
As Seneko’s sonic profile evolves with each new release, he sounds polished and in his best form on the album opener, The Girls from Cedarhurst. And it’s this exact high-energy offering that’s ideal to introduce this latest collection of tracks.
And perhaps best of all, killer lead licks permeate the track and contribute to a wall of sound that really fills out this album opener.

Seneko in His Element on New EP
As the second track on the EP, Motus est Magicae brings the tempo down slightly from the high-energy opener. But having said that, there’s still the driving force behind the track – with Seneko firmly at the helm.
Meanwhile, even though this is new music, Seneko certainly embodies the classic rock sound. In fact, in his own words, Seneko describes his style as “country meets Radiohead”. And it’s not hard to find his inspirations in his music, including Lou Reed, Neil Young, and more.

Solid Effort from Seneko All-Around
Overall, The Girls from Cedarhurst is a solid effort from start to finish. The EP features a bit of everything – from up-tempo tracks to ballads, and everything in between. In addition, the musicianship and arrangements are solid throughout – a real standout quality of this record.
Seneko manages to paint soundscapes that hit on nostalgia in a big way – and anyone looking for that will find it in the five tracks of The Girls from Cedarhurst. If there’s one thing to be said about Seneko, he knows his strengths, and this EP puts them on display in a big way.
