My 600-lb Life Season 11 kicks things off with Geno Dacunto. And with his episode officially underway for Discovery Plus subscribers, many viewers want to know how he is doing since his episode aired. So what’s the latest?
My 600-lb Life: Geno Dacunto’s TLC Journey Starts Out Rough
From New Haven, Connecticut, fans of My 600-lb Life meet Geno Dacunto in the Season 11 Premiere. Geno, who is telling his story to the world, says that he was 100 pounds by the time he was six, 150 pounds by the time he was eight, 200 pounds by the time he was in the fourth grade, and 300 pounds by the time he was barely thirteen. On top of that, Geno recalls struggling in high school since he couldn’t fit in places that other high school students could.
Like many My 600-lb Life cast members, Geno turned to food to help cope with life’s struggles. And even though he can still take a shower by himself, he does so with great difficulty, as the mere act of standing causes him to breathe heavily.

TLC Celeb Puts in the Work
As longtime My 600-lb Life watchers know, getting to Dr. Younan Nowzaradan in Houston is just the beginning. But, if Geno wanted to achieve his dream of becoming a chef and running his own restaurant, he needed to make some drastic changes in his life.
By the time Geno Dacunto makes it to Dr. Now’s office in Houston, he has his work cut out for him. Luckily, it’s a family affair, as he has several members of his family with him for the initial meeting.

My 600-lb Life Effort Eventually Pays Off
As Dr. Now says in the latest My 600-lb Life episode, Geno is at a crossroads, as he is nearly 700 pounds at the start of his journey. So he needed to make some huge changes in his life to turn it around.
Geno did drop weight throughout his entire journey with Dr. Now, as those who watched the full TLC episode know. Eight months into the process, he had weight loss surgery as well.
It took Geno some time to relocate to Texas, so it was a bit of a sluggish start. But in the end, Geno went from 684 to 422 pounds. All told, he shed nearly 300 pounds overall while working with Dr. Now.

Where is My 600-lb Life Celeb in 2023?
With Geno Dacunto making positive changes in his My 600-lb Life episode, many viewers are curious to know how he is doing in 2023 – and whether or not he is keeping up with all the healthy habits he learned under Dr. Now.
And based on the latest updates from Geno, he seems to be living his best life. He is in a relationship that’s Facebook official, and from the looks of it, he seems to be in a great place in his life. However, some viewers are concerned, as he still seems to be on the heavy side in recent pics.

And while it’s not clear what his current weight is on the scale, he did finally achieve his dream of becoming a chef, as his LinkedIn profile says that he is a chef at Silver Sands Restaurant.
So, he clearly seems to be in a much better place in his life now compared to where he was when his episode first started filming – especially now that he can fit into a professional kitchen and pursue his passion.
