1000-lb Sisters Season 4 features Amy Slaton-Halterman pregnant with her second child. But based on spoilers for upcoming scenes, it’s not all good news for Tammy Slaton’s sister. So what else do teasers reveal?
1000-lb Sisters: Amy Slaton-Halterman & Tammy Slaton Weight Issues
As longtime 1000-lb Sisters fans know, even though Tammy Slaton and Amy Slaton-Halterman both struggled with their weight, it’s up to the individual to determine what is enough of a motivating factor to get them to want to change their lifestyle.
And while Tammy Slaton has only recently seemed to want to lose weight after nearly losing her life and being put in a coma, Amy Slaton-Halterman wanted to slim down for another reason, too.
TLC Celeb Wanted to Be a Mom
Of course, Amy Slaton-Halterman has always wanted to be a mother. But, at the weight she previously was, she couldn’t have a child due to a number of factors. So, if Amy wanted to realize her dream of becoming a mother, she needed to get herself in gear and drop the pounds.
Meanwhile, in Season 4 of 1000-lb Sisters, Amy is pregnant for the second time. But, based on spoilers for upcoming scenes, it’s not all sunshine and positive vibes – as there are some very real concerns for Tammy Slaton’s sister.
Another High-Risk Pregnancy for TLC Celeb?
Based on teasers, Amy Slaton-Halterman’s 1000-lb Sisters doctor says she got pregnant “way too soon” after her weight loss surgery. And because of this, it put her at “higher risk”. And because she is pregnant again, she is still not at her “ideal weight” – making this pregnancy another high-risk endeavor.
Meanwhile, because of the added risk, Amy Slaton-Halterman’s doctor says that she will need to be “monitored” once again. On top of that, Amy’s doctor urges her to eat better, as cheese sticks and crackers are not the ideal foods to eat while pregnant – especially not while Amy is already far from her ideal weight.
Of course, as 1000-lb Sisters fans keeping up with current updates know, Amy and Michael welcomed a healthy baby boy, Glenn, into the family. But with TLC documenting the pregnancy, watchers will get to see more of what went on behind the scenes when new episodes air.
