Like many people in India, 90 Day Fiance celeb Sumit Singh used to work at a call center. Indeed, that’s what he was doing when he initially catfished Jenny Slatten as “Michael Jones”. But since he quit that job, many viewers have been wondering how he pays the bills.
Ever since Sumit Singh’s first season of The Other Way with Jenny Slatten, 90 Day Fiance fans have questioned how Sumit is able to make ends meet. Of course, from an American perspective, it’s much cheaper in India. But even so, people still need to find ways to pay the bills.
What Does TLC Celeb Do for Work?
A 90 Day Fiance fan recently asked Jenny Slatten how she and Sumit make ends meet in India. And according to the American woman, the pair have an online business – though she didn’t specify what. And along with that, Jenny added that Sumit is a “cook”.
As 90 Day Fiance fans know, Sumit Singh is passionate about food. And before the pandemic shut everything down, Sumit worked as a chef at his friend’s cafe. In addition to that, he also shares a lot of home-cooked meals with fans. And he certainly seems to be good at what he does.
90 Day Fiance Celeb the Breadwinner?
According to Jenny Slatten, she said that the type of visa she has doesn’t allow her to work in India – which suggests that Sumit Singh is the sole breadwinner for them. Of course, there are certainly loopholes with things like Cameo videos – which both Sumit and Jenny do. And there’s also the fact that TLC pays Americans between $1,000 to $1,500 per episode. And with the pair on a new season of Happily Ever After, that’s more guaranteed money coming in. Even so, at least from the outside looking in, it seems Sumit is the one bringing home the bacon, so to speak.
Interestingly, according to some rough estimates, one can live comfortably in India for as little as $250 a month. And while the cost of living varies depending on the region, it certainly seems like Jenny and Sumit are living well on his cooking job and Cameo videos for fans. And while it’s not clear exactly how much Sumit makes in terms of a dollar amount, it certainly seems to be more than enough to live comfortably.
