Welcome to Plathville: Olivia’s Feud with Kim & Barry Goes Back a Long Way
As Welcome to Plathville fans know, Olivia Plath doesn’t see eye to eye with Ethan’s parents, Barry and Kim. And according to Olivia, the origins of that go all the way back to when Ethan and Olivia were engaged.
Olivia Plath said previously that right from the get-go, she didn’t like how Kim “controlled” everything. And at the time, even Ethan agreed that his mother treated their wedding as if it were her own.
Meanwhile, based on spoilers for Welcome to Plathville, it’s clear Olivia isn’t ready to face Ethan Plath’s parents in upcoming scenes.
Ethan Plath’s Wife Has Meltdown
The Welcome to Plathville family is on hand to visit Joshua Plath’s grave. Meanwhile, Olivia is overwhelmed by the idea of facing Ethan’s parents. And even though Ethan believes Olivia should put aside her differences for the sake of the bigger picture, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Olivia Plath says in spoilers that she is “not ready” to deal with Kim and “deal” with all of that. According to Olivia, she feels “panicked” at the thought of facing Kim in person – and she doesn’t take the news well.
Indeed, Olivia Plath says that when she meets hard things in life, the first thing she wants to do is “run”. And if nothing else, the fight or flight response is strong in upcoming scenes for Ethan’s wife.
Welcome to Plathville Tension High
As viewers know, there has been a lot of drama this season surrounding Barry and Kim’s divorce. Meanwhile, the entire family meets at Joshua Plath’s grave. So naturally, things are already tense even before factoring in additional family drama.
And as viewers see, Ethan and Kim finally come face to face after years of being at odds. And whether or not Olivia Plath gets over her issues is something that remains to be seen.
According to Ethan, his wife should put her personal differences aside for the greater good – which is being there at Joshua Plath’s grave. And given the marital problems Ethan and Olivia already have, Ethan isn’t very sympathetic to his wife’s plight in upcoming scenes.
Indeed, many Welcome to Plathville fans have called for Ethan and Olivia to either work on their marital issues or call it quits. And in light of Olivia’s meltdown, it doesn’t look like they make any progress one way or the other.
