Many Welcome to Plathville viewers talk about Ethan and Olivia Plath’s problematic marriage. Meanwhile, many watchers have said for years that they aren’t compatible. In fact, the connection between Ethan and Olivia appeared doomed from the beginning in many ways.
Initially, a lot of Welcome to Plathville fans believed that Ethan’s parents, Kim and Barry Plath, were to blame for their problems. But as viewers see, even though the young couple relocated to Florida, many of the same marital problems persist. So much so that many think it won’t be long until they call it quits for good.

Welcome to Plathville spoilers reveal that things are as tense as ever between Ethan Plath and Olivia Plath as he returns home to Florida. And what should otherwise be a warm welcome home turns into a chilly reunion between the husband and wife.
Ethan Plath says in teasers that he feels “depressed” and “frustrated” as he arrives back home. Meanwhile, facing his wife after dodging her calls and buying yet another motorcycle is clearly something Ethan doesn’t want to do in upcoming scenes.
Between all the emotions bubbling up from Barry and Kim’s pending divorce, his motorcycle quitting on him while traveling back home, and having to face Olivia’s disapproval when she finds out he met with his dad, it’s clear that Ethan isn’t exactly thrilled to be back home.
In the conversation Ethan Plath has with his dad in upcoming scenes, Barry warns him about shutting down and escaping to work on his cars rather than communicating with his wife. And judging by the way he eventually slams the door in Olivia’s face, it’s clear he is reverting back to his bad habits rather than trying to deal with his marital problems. So if nothing else, there’s still plenty of drama where this duo is concerned as the new season continues.
