Welcome to Plathville: Ethan Plath Cut Off Contact with His Parents
Fans of Welcome to Plathville are aware that Barry Plath, Kim Plath, and their oldest son, Ethan Plath, haven’t always gotten along. Olivia Plath previously claimed that their relationship with Ethan’s parents was “toxic”, even going so far as to ban Ethan from spending time with his siblings unattended.
Ethan and Olivia thought they needed “space” because of all the Welcome to Plathville drama, which ultimately resulted in them cutting off communication. But according to teasers, Barry and Ethan repair their relationship after being at odds.
TLC Dad & Son Hash Things Out
Spoilers tease a face-to-face sit-down between Barry Plath and his oldest son, Ethan Plath. Ethan rode home with his brother Micah on motorcycles in previous scenes. And from the looks of it, Ethan is ready to repair his relationship with his father.
According to Ethan, he feels as though Barry “owns up” to his mistakes more than his mother does. And based on what Ethan says in Welcome to Plathville spoilers, he doesn’t hold back when criticizing his mother.
In Ethan’s words, Kim Plath likes to “meddle” in relationships. In addition, she is a “controlling” person with “manipulative traits”. So if nothing else, it’s clear where Ethan stands when it comes to his parents.
TLC Teases Welcome to Plathville Showdown Between Mother & Son
Ethan says in spoilers that his dad, Barry, is a “straight shooter” and that he “trusts him”. And certainly, that’s in stark contrast to the way he feels about his mother.
Meanwhile, on the heels of seemingly mending fences with his father, TLC teases tense moments ahead for the rest of the Welcome to Plathville season as Ethan eventually faces his mother for the first time.
As TLC is known to do, they certainly have no shortage of drama. Because, that face-to-face meeting between Kim and Ethan takes place while the entire family is at younger brother Joshua’s gravesite – who Kim hit with her vehicle when he was 17 months old, resulting in his death.
And based on what Ethan says in spoilers, there’s still a lot of bad blood between him and his mother leading up to this climactic confrontation in upcoming scenes.
