Cillas Givens, who appeared in Season 7 of My 600-lb Life, needed to change his lifestyle when he realized he couldn’t be fully present in the lives of his girlfriend, Jessica, and her daughters. Jessica had to feed him throughout the day, and he needed a personal care assistant to come to his residence to help him with numerous responsibilities linked to his deteriorating health.
My 600-lb Life: Cillas Givens’ TLC Journey
At 35 years old, it was uncertain how much time Cillas Givens had left at the rate he was going. Ultimately, he sought the help of Dr Now to save his life. In addition to getting him to be less dependent on his oxygen tank, the doctor advised him to follow a low-carb/high-protein diet and begin walking more.
It was a difficult voyage, as usual, but he had the support of his girlfriend and her children to assist him. Meanwhile, he had shed over 400 pounds thanks to gastric bypass surgery by the end of his My 600-lb Life episode, bringing his weight down to the low 300s.

Did TLC Celeb Keep Up Good Habits?
As My 600-lb Life fans know, it’s easy to fall off the wagon and go back to bad habits once TLC cameras leave. But luckily for Cillas Givens, he maintained the healthy habits he learned while under Dr Now’s care – and they continue to serve him well to this day.
It’s rare to see someone get a second chance at life, but Cillas Givens has gone above and beyond following his time on My 600-lb Life. Meanwhile, as fans remember, he proposed to Jessica, at the end of his episode.
And after everything he went through to turn his life around, this was the icing on the future wedding cake in many ways. Indeed, while there are plenty of stories from My 600-lb Life that don’t end well, Cillas Givens appears to be an exception.
Where is My 600-lb Life Celeb Today?
It turns out, Cillas and his girlfriend married in March of 2019. While he doesn’t post much – and keeps his social media private – it’s clear from photos that he has continued to diet and exercise.
And from the looks of it, he has lost even more weight since fans last saw him. It turns out there are even photos of him flexing his muscles. So if that isn’t an indication of how far he has come since viewers first saw him, nothing is.
