7 Little Johnstons just wrapped Season 11 on TLC. And already, viewers are eager for the next one. Meanwhile, based on the latest news, it looks like Season 12 officially has a release date.
7 Little Johnstons: Joose Jeskanen a Big Hit in Season 11
The major draw in 7 Little Johnstons Season 11 was foreign exchange student Joose Jeskanen coming to America from Finland. Joose was first introduced at the end of Season 10 when Trent and Amber were deciding whether or not Joose would be a good fit for their family. And as fans know, they ultimately went forward with welcoming him into the Johnston home.
Meanwhile, Joose experiencing life in America was a major aspect of what made Season 11 worth watching. And with all the older children moved out and living their own lives, it was the perfect time for Trent and Amber to welcome someone new into the fold.
TLC Cancelation Rumors Circulate
With Season 11 of 7 Little Johnstons in the books, viewers have been wondering if there would be a Season 12. And this is especially true given the cancellation rumors that made the rounds.
Meanwhile, Emma Johnston dropped a major hint regarding the show’s future back in March. The 7 Little Johnstons celeb said that the family would film a total of 20 more episodes. Then, after that, she claimed it would be a wrap.
And when you do the quick math, 20 episodes comes out to roughly two seasons worth of material if you operate under the assumption that each season would be between 8-10 episodes each. So at least for now, it looks like the TLC show is guaranteed through at least Season 13.
When Will 7 Little Johnstons Season 12 Air?
With Emma Johnston seemingly confirming that there would be more seasons to come, fans have been wondering about a premiere date – especially with Season 11 recently wrapped. And luckily, it seems fans won’t have to wait very long for new episodes.
According to the latest from TLC, 7 Little Johnstons Season 12 will premiere on August 16, 2022. So, all in all, it won’t be long until new episodes air.
In addition, one burning question on fans’ minds is whether or not they’ll see more of Joose – as the family has hinted that viewers haven’t seen the last of their “Favorite Finn”. Certainly, that will be something to tune in for when new episodes air.
