1000-lb Sisters fans aren’t sure that TLC will renew the show for Season 4. Meanwhile, there have been some conflicting reports on the status of the renewal. So what’s the latest?
1000-lb Sisters: Season 3 a Train Wreck for Tammy Slaton & Company
In a lot of ways, 1000-lb Sisters episodes are less about Tammy and Amy’s weight loss and more about the drama they get into. Meanwhile, after three seasons, many viewers are tired of the same antics and excuses. Certainly, there are enough people that would tune in just to continue to see the dumpster fire burn. But in a lot of ways, fans are tired of the same storylines playing out.
Arguably the one bright spot is getting to see Amy Slaton be a mother to Gage. And with a new baby on the way, that is certainly something 1000-lb Sisters fans would want to see. But with Season 3 in the books, there are still many questions surrounding the status of Season 4.
TLC Siblings Saying Different Things
Since Season 3 of 1000-lb Sisters has been in the books, there have been some conflicting reports about the status of Season 4. Chris Combs said previously that he had not signed a new contract to return for another season to the TLC program.
In addition, as far as Tammy Slaton is concerned, 1000-lb Sisters viewers keeping up with her antics know she has been in rehab for quite some time. And many say she has finally lost weight since being in rehab. But with all the filters she uses in her social media updates, it’s difficult to say. Still, back in March she alluded to the future of the series – telling a fan that Season 4 hasn’t started filming yet, the implication of that being that there would be a Season 4.
Meanwhile, 1000-lb Sisters fans wonder where Amy Slaton fits into all of this as well. Tammy Slaton’s sister said previously that she had not signed a new contract for another season. And many wonder if she wants to come back for another season at all. Even though viewers would love to see her baby on the way in new episodes, some suspect she might take time off from filming future episodes to focus on being a mother.
Is 1000-lb Sisters Coming Back for New Season?
With Chris, Tammy, and Amy all saying different things, this leaves 1000-lb Sisters fans without a definitive answer on a Season 4. Certainly, with Amy’s new baby on the way and Tammy being the typical drama magnet that she is, it would be a smart move for TLC to renew, as they’d be missing out on the payday another season with the sisters would bring.
But at least for now, it seems fans have to go with the wait-and-see approach until something definitive comes from the network regarding a renewal.
