90 Day Fiance celebs Mike Berk and Ximena Morales have had one of the most drama-filled TLC storylines – both on and off-camera. Meanwhile, did TLC stage their breakup to boost ratings?
90 Day Fiance: Mike Berk & Ximena Morales Not a Good Match
Right from the jump in 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days Season 5 episodes, many viewers predicted that Mike Berk and Ximena Morales wouldn’t last. Fans pegged Ximena as a gold-digger and Mike as the latest sad sack to get scammed out of money.
Meanwhile, 90 Day Fiance tea has been spilling for weeks off-camera that is vastly different from Mike and Ximena’s TLC scenes playing out weekly. But, even with Ximena telling Mike numerous times to his face that their relationship is over, recent revelations online – as well as scenes from the Tell-All – suggest that the couple is back together. So did TLC stage their split to keep fans tuning in?

Are TLC Pair Back Together?
Over the last few weeks, Ximena Morales has been linked to numerous men on social media – including the prospect of her reconciling with Mike Berk. Ximena launched a YouTube channel recently – and she used a pic of herself and Mike as the account profile picture.
In addition, Mike Berk shared a short clip telling someone “te amo mucho” – with many suspecting that he was addressing Ximena Morales. But after everything that has gone down on-air and off, most 90 Day Fiance fans don’t believe the pair would ever reconcile.
And if they do, many viewers believe it would be for one of two reasons: either Ximena is short on cash and needs Mike’s money, or, TLC staged the entire breakup to keep watchers tuning in, throwing in some deliberate misdirection along the way over the last few weeks.

TLC Duping 90 Day Fiance Fans for Ratings?
As of filming the Tell-All, Mike and Ximena appear to be back together – to the collective bafflement of many. Certainly, it’s not a stretch to imagine production doctoring scenes to push a particular narrative on viewers. But based on everything fans have seen, it’s hard to imagine Ximena with Mike for anything other than monetary gain.
Meanwhile, even taking into account TLC meddling in the pair’s scenes to boost ratings, the fact that they could have successfully reconciled after everything that has gone on has many fans crying foul. Perhaps the modeling aspirations Ximena had haven’t gone according to plan, and she needed a safe backup plan.
And perhaps, in what would be one of the most unlikely outcomes in show history, Ximena and Mike genuinely found common ground to continue their “relationship” on. At the Tell-All, Mike says that the pair were able to “work it out”. And according to him, they’re “back together”.
Still, when taking into account these two outcomes, the former seems the most likely – with or without TLC meddling. And even if the pair are currently back together, it’s worth watching to see how quickly that might change if Ximena finds someone else with pockets just as deep as Mike Berk. And even more so if she finds that in someone without Mike’s “disgusting” habits and hygiene.
