’90 Day Fiance’: Which TLC Cast Member Defends Russia’s Actions?

90 Day Fiance celebs across multiple seasons and spinoffs are currently feeling the effects of the conflict in Ukraine. Meanwhile, with celebs from both countries, the reactions have been emotionally charged as the world attempts to come to grips with everything unfolding.

90 Day Fiance: Natalie Mordovtseva & Varya Malina Slammed for Insensitive Behavior

Varya Malina and Natalie Mordovtseva are two of the most hated 90 Day Fiance celebs from the franchise in recent years. Meanwhile, they’re also besties – and from opposing sides of this current conflict in Eastern Europe. But, as their countrymen are at war, Natalie and Varya are making a profit from social media reels and altogether carrying on with their lives, seemingly unbothered by everything going on.

Varya Malina has a habit of turning a profit from controversy – as she brought up Geoffrey Paschel’s “dead baby” when he was in the headlines following his sentencing. Meanwhile, Natalie followed suit in similar fashion. The Ukrainian star shared a provocative clip at a skating rink, crawling around on all fours. And with everything going on between Russia and Ukraine, many 90 Day Fiance viewers find her behavior distasteful.

Julia Trubkina & Yara Zaya Speak Out

Another 90 Day Fiance duo from opposing countries is Yara Zaya and Julia Trubkina. Julia talked on-air with Dr Drew Pinsky, and Yara Zaya went on Fox News, respectively. Julia Trubkina is adamant that average Russian citizens are against the invasion of Ukraine by their government. And even though many 90 Day Fiance watchers agree that she handled herself well, that didn’t stop the hate from coming her way.

As for Yara Zaya, she is in disbelief over the fact that something like war is still going on in 2022. Speaking in her interview with Fox News, Yara added that her friends and family back home are “super scared” with everything going on. In addition, she said that no one back home was prepared for this because they didn’t think it would happen.

Meanwhile, this conflict in Eastern Europe has far-reaching consequences for the 90 Day Fiance community in ways viewers may not expect. As viewers know, Anna Campisi and Mursel Mistanoglu are having a baby boy through a surrogate. Unfortunately, their surrogate is from Ukraine, and pregnant with their baby amid this crisis. Anna told her TLC followers that the surrogate had to “leave her home” with family to get to a “safer area”. Sadly, the TLC pair can’t do much more than pray and hope for the best at the moment.

One 90 Day Fiance Star Supports the Invasion?

By and large, the 90 Day Fiance community as a whole condemns Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. But from the looks of it, there’s at least one TLC star in favor of everything currently going on. Sasha Larin recently addressed everything that’s happening – and he had a completely different reaction than other celebs from the franchise.

In Sasha Larin’s mind, the invasion is justified. And he even commented on how his country is “being mixed with dirt” – an obvious dig at the neighboring people of Ukraine. Understandably, the 90 Day Fiance community at large is horrified by his blatantly offensive commentary. In addition, many wonder how his American wife, Emily Larina, feels about her husband’s words – especially because they moved back to Russia as a family.

All in all, this is a tense time for the world, and it’s clear that some of that tension has spilled over into the 90 Day Fiance community. Meanwhile, most viewers and cast members (other than Sasha) look on in horror while hoping for a peaceful end to this full-scale war.
