Little People Big World fans know that Jacob Roloff doesn’t always see eye to eye with the rest of his TLC family. Meanwhile, Matt Roloff recently talked about how “weird” his youngest son is.
Little People Big World: Jacob Roloff the Odd One Out?
When it comes to most families, there’s usually always at least one off-the-wall member that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the brood. And when it comes to the Roloff family, Jacob certainly fits the bill. With the majority of his family being of a more conservative lean, Jacob is more liberal in his beliefs – leading to some friction with other family members.
Meanwhile, Jacob Roloff had spoken out against abuse he suffered at the hands of a TLC field producer when he was younger. And some Little People Big World fans accused Matt Roloff of downplaying his son’s experience. Suffice it to say, relationships have been strained over the years.
Matt Roloff Building a Bridge with His Son?
As Little People Big World watchers know, Jacob Roloff has clashed with his sister-in-law, Audrey, and his older brother Jeremy over their conservative views. And, even though Matt Roloff may not agree with everything Jacob stands for, the LPBW patriarch has done what he can lately to mend the rift – at least from his end.
Jacob Roloff recently celebrated his 25th birthday earlier in January. And Matt made sure it was a day his youngest son would never forget. To celebrate Jacob’s milestone birthday, Matt gave Jacob a 1967 yellow Volkswagen – originally owned by Jacob’s grandfather.
So, despite the family issues over the last few years, it’s clear Matt is doing what he can to mend the relationship with his son – and from the looks of it, his efforts seem to be paying off.
Little People Big World Star Pokes Fun at His Son
As Little People Big World fans know, Matt is a builder – and he loves working with his hands. In addition, there’s always work to be done around Roloff Farms. And recently, Jacob Roloff chipped in to help his father with the latest project – building a new irrigation manifold for the “big house” – among other things.
Meanwhile, Matt spent time with Jacob and his family – including his grandson, Mateo. In addition, Matt poked fun at his son for his “weird political beliefs”. But in the spirit of keeping things light, Matt also applauded Jacob for his “humility” and his willingness to “put in a hard day’s work”.
So, even though the Roloff family may not agree on everything, it’s certainly nice to see Matt and Jacob bond over some good, old-fashioned elbow grease. And it’s clear that despite the tension in recent years, they can put aside their differences and enjoy spending time together as father and son.
